As a private, non-profit institution since 1961, the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, trains highly competitive professionals at the global level. The General Administration Authority sets the tuition fees by degree, the amount students pay for regular undergraduate studies.

Tuition fees are defined by coursework/degree and are paid in 10 yearly installments, between March and December, or cash, if the family prefers.

Students will be assigned to a category of the tuition fee scale (A, B or C) in accordance with the last school they studied for a minimum of two consecutive years.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
The six-monthly tuition can be paid in cash, or in five or six installments. In accordance with the regulations established by Law No. 29947, payments made after the due date will incur an additional late fee.

RECLASSIFICATION

Students classified in categories A and B may request a reclassification of their tuition fee. They can apply after enrollment by submitting, within the established timeline and schedule established by the Tuition, Scholarships and Student Loans Commission, the referred documents and the socioeconomic card.

In order to encourage academic excellence and facilitate access for high-achieving students, the University confers scholarships to outstanding students, partial or total discounts that are granted for a 10%, 20%, 30%, up to 40% of that amount. These are granted on a temporary basis and with a pre-qualification from the Tuition, Scholarships and Student Loans Commission, in agreement with the students’ performance and their families’ economic situation.

Scholarships and Discounts

Scholarships are partial discounts granted on a temporary basis and subject to prior approval by the Tuition, Scholarships, and Student Loans Commission. Scholarships only apply to the tuition fees. The enrollment right and other fees will be covered in full by the student.

Only students assigned to category C of the tuition fee scale are eligible for the financial assistance scholarship. Eligible students can apply by submitting the requested documents and their socioeconomic card, and meet the requirements (no failed classes and to have an average of 14,0) in due time and within the timeframe established by
the Tuition, Scholarships and Student Loans Commission.

The financial assistance scholarship and the reclassification apply after the second academic semester in all degrees, except in Medicine. In the Medicine program it applies after the second year (third trimester). After third trimester is after the first year?

Loans

STUDENT LOANS

A student loan is an amount of money the University Peruana Cayetano Heredia offers to students who have temporary financial difficulties. It is provided to students in the second and next to last year of undergraduate studies at their request, after an assessment from the Tuition, Scholarships, and Student Loans Commission. Student loans have an average annual interest of 5%. Student loans are not made to pay off debts.

This is the educational loan program offered by the National Scholarships and Student Loans Program, PRONABEC, intended for students with a high academic performance that face economic difficulties to start or finish their studies.

Frequently asked questions

What criteria are considered to grant a scholarship?

The principal criterion is family income. Additionally, other factors are considered, such as school of origin, bank accounts and credit cards, real estate property and vehicles, among others.

If the scholarship is lost due to any of the reasons indicated above, can it be regained?

Yes. After the situation that led to the loss of the scholarship is resolved, the student must file an application to the Pension Commission to regain the scholarship in the next semester.

Is it possible to have access to scholarships and also to student loans?

Yes, it is possible. Students need to meet the requirements for each of the processes.
